Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology, the Information Technology Lead (IT Lead) is an integral member of the IT Team at Reconnect Community Health services. The IT Lead works together with the IT team to manage Reconnect’s information services, information systems and network infrastructures including laptop and workstations, applications, network equipment, servers, Internet connection, and remote services access. The IT Lead possesses strong technical skills across end-user computing environments, mobile devices, network infrastructure and Windows servers, which are an integral part of Reconnect’s operation. The IT Lead investigates, plans and implements new tools, applications, projects and initiatives which respond to specific technological needs, enhances the current technology services available to staff, and allows for standard workflow processes to be carried out more quickly, easily and accurately.

The responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:

· Supports and maintains IT services, virtualization systems, information systems, databases, and Active Directory infrastructure

· Manages and supports a secured network infrastructure including routers, firewalls, switches, VPNs, wireless access points, wireless controllers, and remote access

· Maintain and administer Debian/Linux webserver

· Manages the helpdesk and services requests assignments ensuring that skill-based and cross-function methodologies are maintained and that requests are resolved or completed withing service level agreement requirements

· In response to organizational and user needs, designs, deploys and upgrades network services and architectures (software and hardware) including, but not limited to, physical networks, servers, routers, cabling, switches, firewalls and VPNs

· Maintains records of IT equipment, devices, applications and services

· Identifies and proposes IT equipment and services needs to meet acceptable service levels as measured through system and computer performance and end-user satisfaction

· Prepares IT equipment and software for use by staff, and provides staff with orientation or training to IT equipment or software

· Maintains regular reviews of the implementation of software updates, firmware updates and security patches applied to IT services, equipment, systems and network infrastructure

· Implements, maintains and updates as necessary all IT policies as well as IT processes and procedures to ensure the integrity, security and privacy of data

· Maintains and reviews the back-up processes regularly as scheduled and resolves issues to restore the backup processes in a timely manner or escalates issues to vendors’ supports

· Implements and updates e-waste processes and procedures to ensure that electronic wastes are disposed responsibly

· Follows all health and safety guidelines established by Reconnect’s Joint Health & Safety Committee

The successful candidate will possess:

· A minimum of 5 years working experience in information technology

· Proven experience supporting one or more areas, processes, or technologies around platforms and technologies for capabilities enablement

· Formal and informal training in and experience with computer and networking technologies and the use of relevant equipment and software

· Knowledge of cloud computing technologies

· Experience with client management systems (CMS) in the community health care sector is an asset

· Familiarity with procedures and best practices to protect privacy and security of confidential, personal and private information
